What better way to truly experience the beauty of the Lake District than spending a night out by one of its tarns after a day climbing its highest mountain? This classic backpacking trip takes in the very best that the Lakes has to offer in two contrasting and diverse days.
We will start in the valley of Langdale and work our way up England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, via one of its quieter routes. You will get to experience the fantastic views from its rocky summit, before descending by one of the best paths in the Lakes; the Corridor Route. The evening will be spent by either Styhead or Sprinkling Tarn, a magical experience in itself. The following day, we leave the rocky peaks of the Scafell Pike range and cross over the grassy Martcrag Moor to the uniquely-shaped Langdale Pikes, from which you'll be able to see your whole route. Finally, it's down back to Langdale to enjoy a well-deserved pint in one of the many pubs in the valley.
